If you're looking to run a
Honda Civic Type R as a race car but don't have the heart to strip it of its comfort-oriented features--after all, you paid anywhere from just below PHP3 million to over PHP4 million
depending on who you bought it from--then
Honda Performance Development (HPD) has just the solution for you.

Co-developed with Honda partner
JAS Motorsport in Italy, HPD is now offering a
race-ready Honda Civic Type R it calls
Civic Type R TCR. Developed for touring car competition, the Type R TCR has a
2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that's been massaged to produce
around 340 hp and 420 Nm of torque through the front wheels via a
six-speed, paddle-operated sequential gearbox.
Helping the Type R TCR run around the track are its
race-tuned suspensions fitted with
gas-filled Ohlins shock absorbers and
18-inch OZ Racing wheels while stopping power is provided by
six-pot steel ventilated steel disc brakes up front and
two-pot steel discs at the rear.
Outside, the Type R TCR has an
aggressive, aerodynamic wide-body kit that's highlighted by a
huge front splitter and rear wing while inside, the car gets a
OMP composite HTE seat,
automatic fire extinguisher, and an
MSA-certified welded roll cage cage with lifting devices.
If you're planning to buy one, best get in touch with HPD then.
