Hyundai Opens Baguio Dealership

Korean carmaker Hyundai in the Philippines welcomed the Chinese New Year on a high note, as it unveils its first-ever full-service passenger car (PC) dealership in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). Last January 24, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) has unveiled its Hyundai Baguio City, which situated along C. M. Recto St., Baguio City. The Summer Capital of the Philippines is an acknowledged center of tourism, business, commerce, and education in Northern Luzon. Recently, Baguio City bagged the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Clean Tourist City award for outstanding performance in its conservation and beautification campaign. It was also honored as a UNESCO Creative City under the Crafts and Folk Arts category in 2017. HARI President and CEO Fe Agudo expressed confidence on the expansion program. “We start the year and the new decade strong by proudly hoisting the Hyundai flag in Baguio City, fortifying our growing Hyundai dealership network and reiterating that Hyundai continues to reach out to provide Filipinos better automotive products, better after-sales services, and ultimately, better journeys," Agudo said. Hyundai Baguio City, managed by Grit Motors Corporation, takes pride in its being a pioneer Hyundai PC dealership in CAR. Dealer Principal Archimedes Go disclosed his goals for Korean car marque. “Grit is our main message. This is what Hyundai Baguio stands for. Blessed with supportive family, friends, and colleagues, we shall work with grit and grace, excellence and honesty, to make Hyundai No. 1 in Baguio," he said. As the latest member of the Baguio business community, Hyundai is poised to offer Cordillera residents and businesses a fresh take on excellence in mobility, service, and worry-free ownership. “We dedicate Hyundai Baguio City to driving Baguio’s sustainability through our excellent lineup of current and soon-to-come innovations. Count on Hyundai to contribute to the restoration and preservation of the City of Pines,” Agudo noted. The presence of Hyundai in Baguio City is aligned with Hyundai’s grand vision for 2020 and beyond. “We want more and more Filipinos to experience the next level of Hyundai mobility,” she added. Hyundai Baguio City complies with Global Dealership Space Identity (GDSI) standards, the modern design philosophy of Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) that mirrors and complements its top-performing vehicles, such as the Reina, Accent, Kona, Tucson, Grand Starex, and Santa Fe. HARI hinted that this year’s new and soon-to-open dealerships will showcase the latest in Hyundai’s innovative mobility solutions that are slated for 2020. Hyundai Baguio City is part of HARI’s aggressive PC and Commercial Vehicle (CV) network expansion into the country’s high growth corridors. Last 2019, HARI sold 33,763 units (full-year figures) and generated 2.9 percent growth in December versus the same month in 2018, enabling it to maintain its position in the market as one of the top automotive brands in the Philippine market.
