Lego Group and Automobili Lamborghini Tie Up for Lego Technic Lamborghini

Fans of Lamborghini and Lego are in for an exciting treat with the first-ever Lego Technic Lamborghini. Set for take-off in the summer of 2020, the partnership will showcase a building system that allows kids and adults alike to create "do-it-yourself" basic to advanced Lamborghini models anytime, anywhere.

The new 1:8 scale set will be the third model in the Lego Technic Ultimate Series, with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS in 2016 as its first model, and the Bugatti Chiron its second.

“Following the success of the former Ultimate models, both the Porsche and the Bugatti, it was crucial for us to find a new partner with an iconic vehicle, an unmistakable design DNA and ground breaking use of technology,” said Niels Henrik Horsted, LEGO Technic Marketing Director.

Over the years, Lamborghini has been building beautifully-designed and extremely popular sports cars over the years. Now with the Lego Group on board, everyone can now enjoy building their own Lamborghini sports cars that showcase excellent engineering and design flair. Fans not only can build a sports car, but they also have the option to build on intricate parts of the vehicle, such as transmission,s gearing systems, and differentials.

The partnership is ideal, and something that many fans will find rewarding and challenging at the same time.

Lego has always been in a mission to "inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow through the power of play. Established in Billund, Denmark in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen, its name is taken from two Danish words: Leg Godt, which mean “Play Well”.

“The LEGO Group has amazed entire generations with beautifully simple or extremely complex constructions. In the digital age, where entertainment is often via a screen, our collaboration with the LEGO Group allows enthusiasts to live a real experience, reproducing a Lamborghini super sports car in every detail to create an outstanding model, just like the real car," said Katia Bassi, Automobili Lamborghini Chief Marketing and Communication Officer.

The LEGO Technic Lamborghini model will be available at the LEGO Online Store between June 1 to August 1 this year. Further details about the LEGO Technic Lamborghini will be revealed at a later date.
