MG 5’s newest trim is tech-heavy

MG Philippines expanded its MG 5 stable by introducing a new mid-grade trim.

The local distributor of Morris Garages unveiled the MG 5 Core Plus CVT during a recent test drive with select members of the motoring media.

The newly revealed MG 5 Core Plus CVT, which sits at the middle of the model’s available options, comes with updated features such as a six-speaker sound system, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and a reversing camera.

Further, the MG 5 Core Plus CVT retained the model’s myriad of technologies like the 360-degree vehicle view, electronically adjusted driver seat, cruise control, and tire pressure monitoring system.

Just like every MG 5, the Core Plus CVT is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine.

MG Philippines also shared that the MG 5 Core Plus CVT can be acquired via cash payment of P738,888 or low down payment of P63,000.

Aside from the recently-launched variation, MG 5 has four other variants namely Core 5MT, Core CVT, Style and Alpha.
