MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has updated the Xforce, providing buyers with a new, more accessible variant.
Dubbed the Mitsubishi Xforce GLX CVT, the new trim level serves as the new entry point for customers looking to enjoy what the nameplate has to offer — all without breaking the bank.

With the introduction of the new GLX variant and updating the other variants, we are enhancing the lineup to give more customers the opportunity to experience the Xforce and find the variant that best fits their lifestyle and needs,” MMPC President and Chief Executive Officer Ritsu Imaeda was quoted as saying.

Outside, the new Mitsubishi Xforce GLX CVT grade level looks no different that its GLS and GT siblings, save for the monotone 17-inch alloy wheels and the camera-less side mirrors.
Photo from Juan Paulo PapaThat said, familiar features like the three-dimensional mesh-type grille, T-shaped lights, robust-looking bumpers with fog lamps, claddings on the wheel arches and side sills, as well as the sculpted rear of the vehicle are still present despite the lowered sticker price.
Inside, would-be owners will be treated to a host of comfort and convenience appointment like a 4.2-inch instrument cluster, an eight-inch infotainment system with connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (which doubles as a monitor for the reverse camera), as well as a center floor console with cooling function.
Photo from Juan Paulo PapaThe crossover is powered by the same engine shared by the nameplate across all variants, which is a naturally-aspirated,1.5-liter gasoline-fed engine with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control (MIVEC) technology, paired with a continuously variable transmission.
As such, it delivers 104 horses and 141 Newton-meters of torque.
The Mitsubishi Xforce GLX CVT is priced at P1.119 million.
Existing variant of the Mitsubishi Xforce, which are the GLS and GT grades also received some new upgrades, making them more appealing to Filipino motorists.
The now mid-spec variant Mitsubishi Xforce GLS can be had in a sporty Jet Black Mica finish, while enjoying updates like an eight-inch instrument panel, a 12.3-inch infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that also doubles as a monitor for the around-view camera.

The model will set customers back some P1.299 million.
As for the top-of-the-line Mitsubishi Xforce GT, those looking to bring home the top-spec model can expect new appointment like a panoramic glass roof, an eight-way power-adjust driver’s seat, ambient lighting, Mélange fabric-upholstered dashboard, and an eight-speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium audio system.
Photo from Juan Paulo PapaTech-wise, it also gets a multi-around view monitor, a power tailgate, and a slew of advanced driver-assist system in the form of the Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing.
It has a price tag of P1.661 million.
“From previously offering two variants, the Xforce lineup now consists of three variants, each targeting a distinct customer profile,” MMPC wrote in a press release.
“The GT variant is for customers who want all the available comfort, convenience, and safety features that Xforce has to offer. The GLS variant suited for those seeking a well-rounded blend of style, connectivity, and everyday versatility,” it explained.
“The newly introduced GLX variant, on the other hand, broadens the appeal of the Xforce by making its core strengths accessible to more customers without compromising the design, comfort and driving confidence that define the model,” it concluded.
All the aforementioned variants are now available at all authorized Mitsubishi Motors Philippines dealerships nationwide.
