The October sales rally for the local arm for Japanese automotive manufacturer Mitsubishi is backed up by its well-loved SUV offering, the Montero Sport.
One of Mitsubishi’s most famous nameplates in the country, the Montero Sport continuously stays true to its athletic origins.
Based on the report, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) stated that sales for the Mitsubishi Montero Sport reflected a 232-percent sales growth for October compared to September, selling 533 units for the first month of the final quarter.
The huge turnout of deliveries for the Montero Sport, MMPC President and CEO Mutsuhiro Oshikiri said, mirrors its strong following in the country.
“The strong October performance of the Montero Sport shows it remains to be a much sought-after model in the Mitsubishi lineup. The Montero Sport’s popularity with Filipinos is undeniable as it continues to provide genuine all-road performance while being stylishly modern. Its long list of advanced features and amenities likewise contribute to the Montero Sport’s reputation of being a reliable and convenient partner in the Filipinos’ everyday lives,” Oshikiri noted.
Debuted in 2019, the 2020 Montero Sport wears the new Dynamic Shield front fascia to show the 'form follows function' concept.
For its interior, the seven-seater Montero shows that it can provide utmost comfort without shedding off elegance. It also has a very versatile cargo space when needed.
Complementing the cozy interior is the Smartphone-Link Display Audio (SDA) that connects mobile phone functionality via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto interface. Add to that the eight-inch LCD meter that displays important driving information and you have a vehicle that is future-proof.
Other comforting features inside the Montero Sport are its multiple cup holders, device chargers and storage bins to match the clean and clear cabin design.
Powering the Montero Sport is the 2.4-liter turbo diesel engine, with an advanced Super Select 4WD II system with off-road mode selection and differential locking structure. Further, it has Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation System (UMS) and Forward Collision Mitigation System (FCM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Blind Spot Warning System (BSW) with Lane Change Assist (LCA) to ensure safe journeys.
