Motul continues decades-long partnership with 24 Hours of Le Mans

Motul continues its decades-long partnership this year with the highly-anticipated 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In a statement, the French lubricant specialist expressed excitement over the forthcoming event set on June 10-11 at Circuit de la Sarthe in France as it further extended its more than 60-year collaboration with the endurance racing program.

According to Motul, the latest 24 Hours of Le Mans is special as it is celebrating its 100th-year — earning the nickname, “Race of the Century.”

The company claimed that its lubricants have helped teams earn their victories by providing unmatched performance and reliability.

“For the French brand Motul, the 24 Hours of Le Mans represents more than just any other motor race. The event is steeped in history and tradition, with some of the legends of the sport looking for bragging rights here. Motul has remained committed to make this grand event memorable for fans and spectators alike by elevating experiences through many activities throughout the weekend. Fans will have the opportunity to explore the Motul Boutique, brimming with an array of exclusive merchandise and vintage paraphernalia. Additionally, Motul and motorsport enthusiasts will have a chance to experience the thrill of Circuit de la Sarthe firsthand on the Glickenhaus Racing sim. It is a testament to the passion, dedication, and spirit of motorsports—all of which replicate Motul’s key principles—and remains one of the most highly anticipated events on the racing calendar,” the firm noted.

Having a long-standing partnership with Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), Motul has become a household name for the 24 Hours of Le Mans paddock.

In 2022, the collaboration resulted in a very unique announcement in which the final corner of the 13.6-kilometer track was renamed to “Virage du Raccordement Motul”.

Further, Motul lubricants — including the flagship 300V — helped teams to push to the maximum for the twice round-the-clock endurance spectacle. 2022 podium finishers Glickenhaus Racing used Motul for several years in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The team will be entering a pair of Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) class cars - the #708 and #709 Glickenhaus 007.

Moreover, Motul’s longtime partner will be going to LMP2 honors in their #28 Oreca 07-Gibson. Motul is also providing essential support to #16 Proton Competition, who will be competing on the Porsche 911 RSR-19 among the several other teams they work closely with in the LM GTE AM class.
