Toyota’s luxury vehicle division, Lexus, unveils the 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition. To be sold exclusively in North America, the four-door performance sedan will only have a limited production of 500 units. And if that’s not exclusive enough, Lexus outfitted the recently unveiled compact executive car with all the bells and whistles giving it a touch of distinction.
Separating the 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition from other IS 500 models is its exterior finish, Exclusive Incognito, a paint job befitting this sleeper sports sedan. It’s also outfitted with 19-inch seven-spoke forged alloy matte black BBS wheels, allowing the exclusive model to stand out. The black spindle grille on the front of the vehicle completes the look giving the vehicle a menacing presence.
Inside, this Lexus give off air of opulence and exclusivity that the Lexus brand stands for. Drivers are greeted with an exclusive Launch Edition startup animation. Likewise, elevated interior materials like sporty two-tone black and gray Ultrasuede trimmed front and rear seats, door accents, and center console adorn the car’s cabin. The car also sports a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel with unique silver ash wood treatment and black F Sport Performance badging. A serialized number plate sits in front of the shifter to tell you your vehicle’s position in the limited 500-unit run.
Under the hood, the 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine generating 472hp and 535Nm of torque. The engine offers linear acceleration with a V8 muscle distinction giving the performance-oriented luxury sedan the power to deliver.
Although the 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition will not be locally available, Lexus Philippines has the IS 350 F Sport to offer.
