Suzuki PH is Launching the All-New Suzuki Jimny Next Week, And We Have the Prices

We don't have to tell you that the all-new Suzuki Jimny is one of most eagerly anticipated models to be launched this year. Ever since it was first revealed in June 2018, the worldwide clamor for it has Suzuki reportedly producing it double-time at its Kosai plant in Japan--the lone plant that assembles the mini SUV--to meet global demand.

This is precisely why Suzuki Philippines' (SPI) then-Automobile Division General Manager, Shuzo Hoshikura, profusely apologized to the public at the 2018 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) that the all-new Jimny on display at the biennial event was only a preview of the vehicle as the units weren't even spec'd for the Philippines, down to the infotainment system. SPI though was already accepting reservations for the Jimny then at PHP10,000 each.

Well, exactly a week ago, SPI announced that it will launch the all-new Jimny on March 8--months ahead of Hoshikura's initial estimate of the vehicle's arrival of either July or August 2019. As always, we asked around our contacts in Suzuki's dealership networks before we were finally able to get the prices of the Jimny variants and here they are, exactly a week before the mini SUV is officially launched and those who placed their reservation for it finally take delivery of their units.

  • Jimny GL MT – PHP975,000
  • Jimny GL AT – PHP1.035 million
  • Jimny GLX AT – PHP1.085 million

If you're planning to finance it for five years, the monthly payment is pegged from PHP19,617 to PHP21,831 depending on the variant.

Hoshikura may have been a tad too conservative on the all-new Jimny's local debut date but he was spot-on with the price when he announced at PIMS that it'll be priced "at around PHP1.1 million."

So, did you place an order for the all-new Suzuki Jimny back in October 2018 or will you be the first in line at your local dealership when it opens its doors on March 9?
