TMP adjusts RAV4, Alphard pricing

Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) has adjusted the pricing for the RAV4 and Alphard hybrid electric vehicles (HEV).

Likewise, TMP also adjusted the sticker prices of Lexus HEVs.

Per the local wing of the Japanese carmaker, the said price cuts were prompted by newly-signed Executive Order Number 62 (S.2024), which exempts HEVs and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles from import duty.

“TMP expresses its appreciation to the government for this step to promote more sustainable mobility options, which aligns with Toyota and Lexus’ multiple pathway approach to carbon neutrality,” the company wrote in a press release.

Below are the current pricing (as of July 20, 2024) for the Toyota RAV4 crossover and Alphard luxury van:

• Toyota RAV4 XLE: P2.046 million
• Toyota RAV4 XLE (in White Pearl Crystal Shine): P2.061 million
• Toyota RAV4 LTD: P2.356 million
• Toyota RAV4 LTD (in White Pearl Crystal Shine): P2.371 million

 

• Toyota Alphard: P4.665 million
• Toyota Alphard (in Platinum White Pearl Mica): P4.685 million

Toyota RAV4, Alphard powertrains

For those who do not know, the Toyota RAV4 now comes with a hybrid powertrain across the board. All variants in the model range are fitted with a 2.5-liter hybrid system with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Some 175 horsepower (hp) is produced by the internal combustion engine (ICE) while the motor generator adds approximately 118 horses.

The total output of the Toyota RAV4 is 215 hp with 221 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.

As for the Toyota Alphard, it has a hybrid powertrain setup with a 2.4-liter ICE that dishes out 185 hp. The motor generator contributes some 179 hp for a total maximum output of 246 hp with 250 Nm of pulling power.
