The long wait is over for
Toyota Supra fans as
Toyota has announced that it is now
accepting online reservations for the
first 900 units of the much-awaited sports car. There is a catch though as the reservation is
strictly limited to the European market.
That's right, the rest of the world has to wait first while Europe gets first dibs on the Supra. According to Toyota though,
interested buyers in other regions "will be
kept up-to-date through the
sign-up function on the Toyota Supra website
until pre-order opens in those markets."
The Japanese carmaker claims that the
production of the all-new Supra will begin in 2019, "with the first 900 European customers due to
receive their cars after the summer," which would place it either July or August of next year.
Toyota collectively calls the
first 900 owners of the all-new Toyota Supra the
"Supra 900 Club," and as part of such an exclusive group, members will have access to a "range of special benefits, including exclusive content, personalized merchandise and a host of money-can’t-buy rewards and experiences in the build-up to the delivery of your new Toyota Supra."
While Toyota hasn't stated a price for the Supra yet, it has been reported that a reservation requires a
EUR2,000 booking fee that's "refundable in case of cancellation" and "will be deducted from the purchase price."
