Toyota Vios Cup 2023 final leg to happen this weekend

The third and final leg of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup 2023 is scheduled to take place on November 11, promising an action-packed weekend for local motorsport fans.

Happening at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga, the culminating race will lead to the announcement of this season’s champion. Further, this Saturday’s event will see a one-and-a-half-hour endurance race, which will award each participating racer double points.

Looking to make the race even more exciting are Super Sporting Class stars Red Diwa, Lord Seno, Joaquin Garrido, Gerard Loy, Troy Montero, John Dizon, Bryan Co, Royce Sarmiento, Ian Rosales, and season newcomer Jacob Ang.

Meanwhile, a mix of seasoned and fresh drivers will be participating in the race’s Sporting Class, namely Alan Palacios, Russel Cabrera, Michael Keilani Jordan, Jay Lai, Bern Corpino, Marky Young, and Maila Alivia. Also running the race are father and son Darrell Garbes and Jiro Garbes as well as Golden Wheel Awards Foundation Driver of the Year Miguel Quiñones.

Promotional Class contenders Jarond Mesina, Alain Alzona, Bong Garbes, Paolo Ayo, Chris Gleeson, Rich Lim, and Paul Ang will also vie for the win. Likewise, celebrities Enzo Pineda and Ryan Agoncillo will also join in the fun as will Julia Delos Angeles, who started her Vios Cup journey at just 16 years old.

Crowd favorites Macoy Dubs, Megan Young, and Benedict Cua will also look to bring excitement and competition to the Autocross Challenge. Joining them are Ezra Domingo, Genesis Redido, Apple David, Arianne Bautista, Reph Bangsil, Migy Romulo, Bianca Yao, Carla Lizardo, and Lexi Mendiola.

A drifting exhibition will also be staged and will feature Toyota Gazoo Racing Team’s Ryan Agoncillo as well as local talents Luis Gono and Alex Perez. Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup media class alums Jamil Lacuna of Autoindustriya and Pablo Salapantan of YugaAuto will also be back on the tracks this leg in an exhibition Autocross Challenge with another former media class champion, Jose Altoveros.

To make appearances are Toyota GR-S models such as the Fortuner GR-S and Rush GR-S, which will be displayed in the Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup 2023 activity area. In addition, event sponsors also prepared different games and activities for the audience to enjoy.

Finally, up-and-coming indie band Sunkissed Lola will perform to wrap up the weekend.
