You can now top-up your Easytrip account with Smart, TNT load

Two companies in the MVP (Manuel V. Pangilinan) GroupSmart Communications, Inc. and Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), recently teamed up to provide another top-up solution for Easytrip RFID accounts.

Their latest endeavor now allows Smart and TNT customers to reload RFID accounts using their mobile load credits.

The first in the country to offer such a toll top-up option, the latest service enables Smart and TNT customers to conveniently replenish their Easytrip RFID accounts anytime and anywhere through a simple text message.

To reload, subscribers need to key in EASY(denomination) (12-digit RFID account number) and send to 3279. The amount — in denominations of ₱100, ₱300, ₱500, or ₱1,000 — will be deducted from the prepaid balance or will be charged to the monthly bill for postpaid plan holders.

Subscribers will receive a text message for every successful transaction that will immediately be reflected to their Easytrip RFID accounts credits. The Easytrip RFID can be used on the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), and C-5 South Link Expressway.

Smart Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Wireless Business Jane Basas said, “We're always looking for innovative ways to serve our customers and make their life simpler and easier. Through our partnership with MPTC, we're glad to offer our subscribers the added convenience and comfort of being able to reload their Easytrip RFID account anytime and anywhere so they have one less concern on the road," she said.

For his part, MPTC President and CEO Rodrigo Franco noted, "Many of us rely on our mobile phones for crucial information and services, so we are glad to team up with Smart to introduce another hassle-free way for users to top up their Easytrip RFID accounts with their Smart or TNT mobile load through a simple message. This way, they may enjoy a smoother and safer journey on our tollways without worrying about not having enough Easytrip load," he explained.

The groups also reminded that while they can reload using Smart Prepaid and Smart Postpaid accounts, Easytrip RFID users may still opt for over-the-counter payments at select reloading and installation sites and payment centers or online (via the Easytrip website using any Visa, Mastercard, or Bancnet card, as well as via accredited online payment channels).
