My best friend recently purchased this car. The Alfa Romeo Stlvio Quadrifoglio, an SUV that drove like a super-saloon (the Giulia Quadrifoglio), surprised a lot of people. A facelift has made it look like a seasoned Hollywood star ready to take on the young guns. Alfa is the best sporty SUV to drive. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio employs the same Ferrari-derived 503hp turbocharged 2.9-litre V6 petrol engine as the saloon Giulia. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio has SUV-like all-wheel drive. It automatically switches between rear and all-wheel drive for traction. When starting from a standstill, all four wheels use that power to reach 62mph in 3.8sec. The huge aluminum paddles behind the steering wheel are tactile and the eight-speed automatic gearbox is fast and responsive.
