About Honda Philippines

It was October 1990 when Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) came into existence intending to provide the people of the Philippines with the joy and freedom of mobility. Soon after coming into existence under the Philippine government’s Car Development Program, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. also began its production operations in the country in February 1992. The manufacturing plant, along with the head office, is located at the Laguna Technopark in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.

As of now, Honda Philippines offers 12 different models in the country, and the portfolio comprises of everything from a small hatchback to sedans, crossovers, and vans. The Honda Cars Philippines range starts with the Hatchbacks (Honda Jazz, Brio, Civic Type-R), and goes on to include the following models: MPVs (Honda Mobilio, Odyssey), Sedans (Honda Civic, City, Brio Amaze, Accord), SUV (Honda CR-V), Crossovers (Honda CR-V, BR-V, HR-V), and Van (Honda Odyssey).

Out of the twelve Honda Philippines model available, HCPI used manufacturer the City sedan and the BR-V crossover in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. Recent developments, however, reveal that the company will no longer produce cars in the Philippines and will instead source them from somewhere else.

In 2019, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) managed to sell 20,338 vehicles across the country, and that enabled the automaker to grab 4.88% of the total market share in the country's automobile industry. Also, HCPI clinched on to the seventh spot on the list of top-selling auto brands in 2019. In January 2020, HCPI sold 1,769 units and took hold of 7.46% of the market among CAMPI (Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc.) member companies.
