A competent and reliable work ute
LI was on the lookout for a competent work ute, and the Mazda BT-50 impressed me. It is very comfortable to sit in, and its cabin doesn’t shout “toolbox.” It has been put together thoughtfully, and for a pickup, the suspension is very well tuned, so whether you’re running light materials or carrying a load, it absorbs potholes and corrugations without upsetting the chassis. Its ride quality is very well-balanced, making long highway miles very civil. Both front and rear, the passenger space is generous for this class. For towing and overtakes, the drivetrain has enough grunt.
