Whether or not you're a car enthusiast, it can be very entertaining to watch car videos on YouTube. Watching the host explore the ins and outs of various vehicles that pique our interest is a great and entertaining way to kill time, especially during community quarantine. 

Carwow

Carwow is a UK-based YouTube channel following Mat Watson as he reviews the newest releases in the automotive industry. With 3.87 million subscribers under its belt, Carwow is one of the biggest car review channels on the platform. The channel description reads thus: "Awkward haggling is a thing of the past with carwow. Choose your perfect car with our configurator tool and let the country’s best dealers compete over you. Compare the five best offers by price, location and dealer ratings and choose the one that’s right for you — no hassle, no haggling, just a great deal.”

Carwow has been posting since 2014 and has collected a total of around 1.11 billion channel views on YouTube. Some of the most popular uploads include drag races between competing models and in-depth reviews of luxury cars.

Jay Leno’s Garage

Former Tonight Show host Jay Leno is considered one of the greatest car collectors of all time. With more than 180 cars and 80 motorcycles to his name, Leno bought a separate property to store them all. His YouTube channel, Jay Leno’s Garage, features each and every one of his vehicles.

Leno’s channel boasts a total of 2.9 million subscribers and 605 million views. The channel’s content focuses on car reviews, restoration vlogs, and conversations between Leno and fellow car enthusiasts. In total, Leno’s collection is estimated to be worth around $52 million (P2.6 billion). Some of the most famous cars in his garage include modern marvels like the McLaren P1, Lamborghini Miura, and the Bugatti EB110, as well as classic cars like the ’34 Rolls Royce Merlin, ’31 Duesenberg Model J, and a 1921 Mercedes-Benz 600 Kompressor.

ChrisFix

As of May 2020, ChrisFix is the one of the car channels with the most subscribers. Chris has been posting since 2010, and his earliest tutorials date back nine years. His channel is focused on DIY/automotive repair, providing a comprehensive step-by-step guide to fixing common car problems.’ Videos are designed to be easily understandable even to beginners.

“I take a lot of pride in my 'How to' videos because I like to help others learn how to fix their car. I film, edit and publish each video on my own. They are concise with all of the essential information so anyone can follow along and fix their car from beginners to experts,” Chris says on his channel description. Over the years, his channel has amassed 6.33 million subscribers and more than 924 million views.

Doug Demuro

Aside from writing for automotive blog Oversteer, Doug Demuro also reviews cars on his YouTube channel. Famous for his thorough car reviews that tackle each car’s “quirks and features,” Demuro’s formula for reviewing cars has gained him more than 3.5 million YouTube subscribers and over 1 billion channel views.

Demuro’s channel focuses on giving the viewer the full car experience, often showing a car’s hidden features that only the owner would know. After enumerating the car’s notable features, Demuro takes the car for a drive and rates it using the “Doug Score”. He often reviews crazy, exotic cars like the Pagani Huayra and the Koenigsegg Agera, and supercars like the McLaren F1 and Ford GT.

Top Gear

The official YouTube channel of BBC’s TV series, Top Gear’s channel compiles all the best clips from the best episodes. Following the crazy adventures of its drivers, Top Gear’s channel features videos of Ken Block, Freddie Flintoff, and Chris Harris, along with the iconic trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May.

Top Gear’s YouTube channel boasts 7.26 million subscribers and more than 2.7 billion total views.

RegularCars

A stark contrast to other channels reviewing the most exotic cars in the automotive industry, RegularCars’ YouTube channel focuses on reviewing “regular cars for mortals.” A huge part of its appeal comes from the in-depth tour of normal daily drivers or cars that most people can actually buy. The RegularCars channel is a great archive of videos especially for people who want to know more about a car before buying it.

RegularCars has been posting regularly since 2012, and has over 717,000 subscribers and 234 million channel views.

Supercar Blondie

Alex Hirschi, most known by her channel name Supercar Blondie, is one of the most popular female car enthusiasts. Hirschi’s goal is to hunt down the world’s coolest cars and present it to her audience, all 3.53 million of them. Hirschi’s videos often go viral, especially on Facebook, as she reviews the most insane concept cars and takes them out for a spin.

She also collaborates with popular celebrities and car personalities such as Top Gear’s James May and Richard Hammond, and Hollywood celebs Paris Hilton and Ben Stiller to talk about cars. She currently has over 250 million channel views.

 

Drivetribe

The official YouTube channel of automotive icons James May, Richard Hammond, and Jeremy Clarkson, Drivetribe’s content focuses on the trio’s personal car stories such as Hammond taking his family off roading and reviewing their personal collection, as well as reviewing special cars such as the Vantablack BMW. Even though the channel is less than four years old, it already has 1.3 million subscribers and 160 million total views.
