Batman and Riddler are now on Waze
Navigational app Waze has teamed up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) and DC with the Batman and Riddler battling to make sure you get to your destination.
Until the end of October this year, drivers can activate the voices of Batman (Kevin Conroy) or The Riddler (Wally Wingert) to direct the way to your own adventures.
The said voices can be accessed all around the world and are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. You can even follow The Riddler’s clues or enter “stealth mode” like Batman.
Aside from that, Waze users can also change their car icons into the Batmobile or The Riddler’s racer, as well as select Batman or Riddler moods.
Users can cap the full experience with the Waze and DC Superhero or Super Villian playlists on music app Spotify while driving via the Waze Audio Player feature.
Robert Oberschelp, senior vice president, global brand product, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, noted the fun in putting the two DC characters in the mobile phone app Waze.
“By partnering with Waze on this innovative interactive program, we are giving fans the opportunity to get behind the wheel of their own reimaged Batmobile as the iconic DC Super Hero Batman who is known for having incredible gadgets and the coolest vehicles,” Oberschelp said.
“As fans gear up to celebrate this year’s Batman Day, this will add some fun to their drive and take their imagination to new places,” he added.
Meanwhile, Waze Head of Brand Programs Erin Bellsey has expressed excitement in the latest partnership with DC and Warner Bros.
“Given the year we’ve had, I think we all need some superhero support to guide our way, and we can’t think of a better way to do it than with the first ever Waze program that features two iconic characters’ Voice navigation, Moods, and Cars. We’re also thrilled to be working with our Audio Player partner, Spotify, to bring the experience to life with fun music for drivers around the world,” Bellsey explained.
Waze had previously used prominent voices from popular culture, such as Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Mimiyuuuh and Cookie Monster, to name a few.
