Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport goes on Euro trip

Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport

Agility meets the streets of Europe with extreme hyper sports car Chiron Pur Sport. Bugatti's extreme hypersports car is showing what it is made of as it makes an exclusive roadshow adventure through different cities in Europe like Paris via London and Hamburg to Geneva.

Pur Sport kicks off its European tour in Paris, where it appeared in the new Bugatti showroom in Neuilly-sur-Seine following a visit to the Eiffel Tower.

"We are very happy to finally present the new Chiron Pur Sport to our customers. Many were disappointed about the cancellation of the Geneva Motor Show, “Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti, said.

“As the most extreme hyper sports car in our Chiron2 family, it has already won many fans. It is an uncompromising hyper sports car, created for even more agility and cornering dynamics. Pure and extreme."

Bugatti promises the Pur Sport to be the "most agile and uncompromising Chiron ever". Its "pure driving and pure adrenaline" mantra more than matches its capabilities, this time making more important technological modifications on its chassis, engine, gearbox, and tires.

For instance, the company has now added new suspension joints to make room for a negative camber.

The engine now uses shortened gears for its transmission so it can accelerate faster. It can go from 60 to 120 kph in less than 4.4 seconds, giving it a slighter edge compared to the 7.4 seconds that its regular cousin, the Chiron, can whip up. Its top speed is 350 km/h (electronically limited).

Bugatti's engineers have spent a year and a half also fine tuning shift points. This hypercar now revs highers, and can reach top performance at 1.500 hp at 6.900 rpm for its quad-turbocharged W-16 engine. Meanwhile, its pulling power comes at 1.600 Nm from 2.00-6.000 rpm.

The company used Michelin tires specifically customized for the Chiron Pur Sport. Measuring 285/50 in front and 355/25 at the back, the special tires have been trimmed to cut out all the jiggly fat. Now, it's 110 pound less compared to its predecessor.

The result of all that hard work is a radical and more aggressive driving dynamics that can make straightforward handling on winding roads almost a work of art. Indeed, no words can describe the feeling when this sports car bends reverently to a road's shape.

Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport is only limited to 60 vehicles. Its production will start in Alsace, France, in the second half of 2020.
