EVAP says upcoming PEVS set on Q4 2023

The Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit this year is set on the final quarter of the year, the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) announced.

  • In a statement, the local EV association said that its much-awaited event is scheduled on October-19-21 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

    The announcement came following EVAP Chairman Rommel Juan’s recent trip to Jakarta, Indonesia for the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show held last May 17-21 at Jiexpo Kemayoran.

    In a statement, the local EV association said that Juan’s trip served as a “crucial preparatory step for EVAP's upcoming flagship event.”

    The group said that the nearing 2023 PEVS “promises to be a landmark event in the Philippines' electric vehicle industry.” “Bringing together key stakeholders, government officials, industry leaders, and enthusiasts, the summit aims to foster knowledge sharing, collaboration, and strategic partnerships to accelerate the growth of electric mobility in the country,” the Association noted.

    Juan expressed in the statement that there is a need for international collaboration in advancing sustainable transportation solutions.

    Further, the statement shared that Juan — as EVAP Chairman — will play a pivotal role in spearheading the discussions and initiatives at the EV Summit.

    “This event will provide a platform for industry players to showcase their latest technologies, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities for collaboration. It will also facilitate engagement with policymakers and regulators to advocate for supportive policies and incentives that promote widespread electric vehicle adoption,” the group added.
