EVOxTerra widens Hongqi NEV lineup with EH7, e-HS7 launch

MANILA: Hongqi Philippines has expanded its offerings in the local new energy vehicle arena with the introduction of its two latest models.

Both battery electric vehicle models, the Hongqi- EH7 and e-HS7 were both formally launched at the brand’s newly-inaugurated Manila Bay dealership.

Here’s what will the customers have should they get these two new nameplates from EVOxTerra (FAW Hongqi’s local arm in the country).

Vehicle specifications

EH7

The Hongqi EH7 electrified sedan tapes in at:

Its exterior is made up of:

• Active grille
• Inverted L-shaped LED headlamps with daytime running lights

Meanwhile, the Hongqi EH7’s cabin has the following amenities:

• Electronically-adjustable steering wheel (automatic linkage with seat and rear-view mirror)
• Dual digital screens (infotainment has Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity)
• 53-inch head-up display

• 10-12 speaker configuration
• Ambient lamp (with music rhythm function)
• Intelligent touch panel
• Electronic gear shifter
• Dual-zone air-conditioning system (with Anion generator)

Powering the Hongqi EH7 is either one (in rear-wheel-drive setup) or two electric motors (in all-wheel-drive configurations) that are matched to lithium iron phosphate or six-series ternary batteries that allows the vehicle to cover 510-640 kilometers (kms) based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure. 

On paper, the car can go 100 kilometers per hour (kph) from rest in in 3.5 seconds.

Further, the vehicle can be juiced up from 0-80 percent in as fast as 20 minutes.

• Reversed L-shaped matrix LED headlamps with manual leveling adjuster with daytime running lamps

• Microfiber leather/dermal-covered steering wheel (manual or electronically-adjustable)
• Dual-zone air-conditioning system with automatic air quality control and fragrance system
• Leather seats
• Electronically-adjustable front seats (with massage function for driver)
• 15.5-inch liquid crystal display monitor with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity
• 63-inch head-up display

The Hongqi e-HS7 has the same electric motor setup (rear-wheel or all-wheel drive) as the EH7 — fitted with an 85- or 111-kwh battery that allows it do 475-510 kms. It is also equipped with nearly the same driver assistive and safety functions as the eH7.

Hongqi Philippines shared that it can also run 0-100 kph in 3.9 seconds.

The Hongqi e-HS7 is also retailed in two options:

Notably, Hongqi Philippines is packaging the two models with six months of free charging (or up to P50,000 worth of charging credits) at EVOxCharge stations nationwide.
