Ford Philippines turned over the first batch of next-generation Ranger Raptor units to their respective owners during the official launch of the souped-up pickup truck in the Philippines.
At an event held earlier at Arca South Interactive Park in Taguig City, the local arm of the Blue Oval brand proved that those who reserved units of the Ford Ranger Raptor need not to wait long. Wrapped in blue ribbon, units of the popular nameplate's well-appointed version were given to their owners who are all ready to drive home with their own examples.
Speaking of which, the Ford Ranger Raptor is fitted with a 2.0-liter Bi-turbo diesel engine mated to a 10-speed Selectshift automatic transmission. This setup produces more than 200 horses and 500 Newton-meters of maximum torque.
Those sharing the road with the owners of the first batch of the locally-available Ford Ranger Raptor will recognize the heavily-equipped variant of the truck thanks to its bold F-O-R-D lettering at the grille, its flared wheel arches, and the exhaust vents on the automobile’s bonnet.
Additional exterior features come in the form of 17-inch allow wheels shod in BF Goodrich KO2 high-performance all-terrain tires, huge step boards with “Raptor” badging, “Raptor” decals on the side of the truck bed, and a “Raptor” emblem on the tailgate.
Interior appointments to be enjoyed by its new owners included Code Orange accents spread across the cabin, a leather-wrapped steering wheel (with magnesium paddle shifters) with the “Raptor” logo, and jet fighter-inspired seats with “Raptor” embroidery.
Further, the next-generation Ford Ranger Raptor flaunts its 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, its 12-inch portrait infotainment system, and its new center console.
For those wondering, the next-gen Ford Ranger Raptor has set its owners back P2.339 million.
