  • The South Korean automotive brand has officially entered the Philippine market after forging an agreement with The Covenant Car Company, Incorporated (TCCCI) to be its official distributor sometime in the middle of third quarter of 2023.

We are optimistic that the local motoring public will respond positively to our portfolio of product offerings, and we are likewise eager to grow KGM PH into a household name for expertly crafted, reliable, Korean-made automobiles,” TCCCI Chairman of the Board Ambassador Jose Cuisia Jr. was quoted as saying.

    It can be recalled that prior to being renamed as KG Mobility globally, Ssangyong was distributed locally by Berjaya Motor Philippines. Under the said firm, the brand offered the TivoliKorandoRextonMusso, and Musso Grand

    In a statement from TCCCI, the company said that it will be retailing five KG Mobility models: the Tivoli Crossover, Tivoli Grand, Torres, Rexton, and Musso.

    The company also assured that it will establish a strong network in the country to suffice the needs of its customers nationwide.

    “Vehicles will be available for retail and service at select KG Mobility Philippines dealers starting Q4 2023, leading up to the official brand launch which will take place in Q1 2024. And by the end of 2024, TCCCI forecasts a total of 12 established dealerships will form KG Mobility Philippines’ nationwide dealership network,” the firm said in a statement.

    Additionally, KG Mobility Philippines will also provide aftersales offerings to the market such as the five-year/100,000-kilometer vehicle warranty, and 24/7 emergency roadside assistance via KG Mobility Philippines’ customer support hotline.

    To bolster its visibility throughout the rest of 2023, KG Mobility Philippines will conduct pop-up concept road shows in leading business and lifestyle hubs in Metro Manila.
