Land Rover expands Defender 130 lineup with Outbound, V8 models

Land Rover expanded its current Defender 130 lineup with the addition of two new variants: the Defender 130 Outbound and the Defender 130 V8.

According to the British carmaker, the Land Rover Defender 130 Outbound gets unique exterior appointments in the form of bumpers and grille inserts in Shadow Atlas Matt finish, Anthracite side vents, and Shadow Atlas Matt wheels in 20 and 22-inch sizes.

It is available in Fuji White, Santorini Black, Carpathian Gray, and Eiger Gray exterior paints.

Further, the Land Rover Defender 130 Outbound comes with exclusive interior trims, which include luxurious full Windsor leather or durable Resist fabric accents. Meanwhile, the rest of the cabin comes with an Ebony finish with the headliner in Ebony Morzine and its signature cross-car beam in Satin Black Powder Coat Brushed finish.

Its list of standard equipment includes foldable durable rubber floor matting, additional stowage areas, lashing points, and a new cargo net.

Power comes from either a P400 gasoline engine or a D300 diesel Ingenium mill. Both powertrain systems feature Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle technology for optimum performance and efficiency.

And while on the topic of powertrain systems, the Land Rover Defender 130 V8 is packed with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that makes 493 horsepower and 610 Newton-meters of torque.

The setup propels the Land Rover Defender 130 V8 from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.4 seconds.

Land Rover slapped the powerful Defender 130 V8 with a sliding panoramic roof, Matrix LED headlights, privacy glass, and a set of 22-inch Satin Gray wheels.

Rounding up its list of trim-specific features are its exclusive V8 badging and its quad-outboard-mounted exhaust pipes.

The Land Rover Defender 130 V8 can be had only in Carpathian Gray or Santorini Black paint.

Inside the souped-up luxury sport utility vehicle is outfitted with 14-way heated and cooled electric driver memory seats finished in Ebony Windsor Leather with Dinamica suede cloth and Robustec fabric.

It also gets a suede cloth heated steering wheel, Ebony Morzine headlining, and a Satin Black cross-car beam.

Additional creature comfort amenities come by way of a four-zone climate control air conditioning system, a Meridian sound system, a head-up display, an interactive driver display, and cabin air purification plus.

Owners can also enjoy its 11.4-inch glass touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay and wireless Android Auto.

Land Rover also announced a cosmetic upgrade kit for the Defender 110. Dubbed the County Exterior Pack, owners of Defender 110 S, SE, and HSE variants can dress up their rides with a suite of exterior appliques, namely County graphics along the doors and body sides; illuminated tread plates; and eye-catching 20-inch wheels.

The County Exterior Pack also spruces up the cabin of the Land Rover Defender 110 with a variety of tastefully selected interior colors. Additional touches include tactile Robustec veneer and a Light Gray or White Cross Car Beam.

The Land Rover Defender 130 Outbound, Defender 130 V8, and Defender 110 County Exterior Pack are now available for order on the carmaker’s global website.

Their availability in the Philippines has yet to be confirmed.
