LTO opens satellite facility in PITX
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has opened a licensing center at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).

It was opened last February 23.Department of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, who led the inauguration rites Wednesday, said that the opening of the satellite facility will make transactions with the agency more accessible to those living south of Metro Manila and nearby areas.
The LTO-PITX Licensing Center is a one-stop shop for those who will get or renew their driver’s licenses as well as student permits. Aside from that, it also has a test drive facility.
Tugade said that the move was also in line with President Rodrigo Duterte’s directive to bring government services closer to the people.
“Kung ang mga tao ay hirap sa pagkuha ng lisensya, hayaan mo na iyong pamahalaan o opisina na nagbibigay ng mga lisensya, ilapit mo sa mga tao (If the people are having a hard time getting a license, let the government or office that issues licenses bring it closer to them)," Tugade was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvate expressed satisfaction in the collaboration of national government, local government, and PITX leadership in making the new licensing center present at the transport terminal.
For his part, Parañaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez and MWM Terminals, Inc. Managing Director Jim Feliciano expressed gratitude for the opening of a facility in the PITX.
