MG to revive GT nameplate?

Morris Garages Philippines is set to expand its lineup further as it will officially bring back the MG GT to its local roster.

To note, the nameplate was once sold in the country under its previous distributor.

While waiting for the company to release the official specifications of the vehicle, a source told Carmudi Philippines that the forthcoming MG GT will be retailed in two variants with prices starting under P1 million.

Aside from that, what we know is that both variations will be powered by a 1.5-liter engine — whether it will be turbocharged or normally-aspirated has yet to be confirmed.

Below are the trims and their respective suggested retail prices:

• MG GT Gas AT Sport: P1.173 million
• MG GT Gas AT Alpha: P995,888
