Coventry Motors Corporation (CMC), the importer of Jaguar Land Rover in the Philippines, has brought two new offerings: the mild-hybrid Jaguar F-Pace and the new Jaguar XF.
These two new offerings were built on the same design concept of “enhanced exterior design, all-new beautifully crafted interior and advanced connectivity.”
The Jaguar F-Pace wears a sculpted bonnet, an enlarged grille that features Jaguar’s heritage logo-inspired "diamond" detailing, LED quad headlights with “Double J” Daytime Running Lights together with the iconic Leaper emblem on the side fenders.
Seen at the rear are new slimline lights that bear the double chicane graphic (first previewed on the all-electric I-Pace).
Design elements such as wood veneers and aluminum form intricate details of the vehicle to match the full-width “piano lid” seen across the width of the instrument panel.
Powering the new Jaguar F-Pace is the latest four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel, mild hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV) technology Ingenium engine. This and other F-Pace models come in an intelligent all-wheel drive system and eight-speed automatic transmission.
This latest powertrain utilizes a Belt integrated Starter Generator (BiSG) technology to recharge the battery “usually lost when slowing and braking.” The harvested power is stored in a separate 48V lithium-ion battery.
On the other hand, the Jaguar XF is fitted with a a new front bumper with larger and lower air intakes that also has a wider front grille and a mesh design detail inspired by Jaguar’s heritage logo. For its rear, the new Jaguar XF has a wider bumper and a body-colored rear upper valance and darkened rear light.
Powering the new Jaguar XF is either a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ingenium turbocharged diesel engine or the latest 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine. These are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Both the Jaguar F-Pace and the XF have Active Road Noise Cancellation technology that constantly monitors vibrations from the road surface then calculates the opposite phase sound wave needed to remove the noise heard by the occupants. These also boast Jaguar’s latest 3D Surround Camera technology. They also share the same 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen, which controls the new Pivi Pro infotainment system.
The new F-Pace is priced at P5.59 million while the new XF is at P4.59 million.
