“Representing the pinnacle of BMW engineering and innovation, the new BMW 750e xDrive PHEV seamlessly blends cutting-edge electrification with the brand’s hallmark driving dynamics,” the SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation-led brand wrote in a press release.

”It embodies a perfect balance of performance, comfort, and sophistication, setting a new benchmark in the premium luxury sedan segment while advancing BMW’s vision of sustainable, intelligent mobility,” the company added.

Here are some of its notable features:

    Striking exterior, luxurious cabin

The exterior of the BMW 750e xDrive PHEV wears the marque’s striking kidney grille, now fitted with “Iconic Glow” illumination flanked by adaptive LED headlamps.

Its side profile is highlighted by long sculpted lines that emphasize its commanding silhouette. These are reinforced by a set of 20-inch bi-color light alloy wheels that add a dynamic and elegant touch to the sedan.

Other notable appointments include soft-close doors and the Comfort Access system for effortless convenience.

Inside, the luxury vehicle is lined with Veganza leather complemented by fine-wood lime wood and fine-wood open-pored accents. The seats are power-adjustable and have a memory function.

Providing passengers with an immersive experience is a Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System, while a four-zone automatic climate control system ensures superior cooling even in harsh, hot weather.

Lastly, roller sun blinds for those sitting at the rear add a layer of privacy when they are out and about.

    Other stories:

    Electric powertrain

Powering the BMW 750e xDrive PHEV is the brand’s TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter engine that has been paired with an electric motor. Transmission-wise, it packs an eight-speed Steptronic Sport Transmission, while an xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system helps with torque, stability, and traction.

The above setup makes 489 horses and 700 Newton-meters of pulling power. It has a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour (kph) with a zero to 100 kph acceleration speed of 4.8 seconds.

When it comes to the sedan's range, it does about 86 kilometers (km) using electric power and can go as far as 750 km with the internal combustion engine in play.

The BMW 750e xDrive PHEV also has energy recuperation, which harnesses kinetic energy during braking and coasting to recharge its battery.

    Pricing, added value

The BMW 750e xDrive PHEV has a sticker price of P7.99 million.

Every purchase, the company noted, comes with a portable flexi charger and a five-year comprehensive BMW warranty (or 200,000 km, whichever comes first).
