Toyota extends aid to Santa Rosa City residents

Toyota Motor Philippines’ (TMP) CSR arm has continuously provided food assistance to nearby communities who were badly battered by the COVID-19 pandemic in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

The latest initiative conducted by the TMP Foundation (TMPF) benefitted 225 families in Barangay Pulong Santa Cruz, 108 faculty members and personnel of Pulong Santa Cruz Elementary School (PSCES), 158 families in Toyota-City of Santa Rosa-Gawad Kalinga Village, and frontliners of the PNP Santa Rosa Sub-station.

In its food donation program this year, TMPF has so far turned over 69 sacks of rice and 158 grocery bags to families and individuals.

The newest move from TMPF helps the residents of Santa Rosa City by supporting the local government in its COVID-19 response through various corporate social responsibility initiatives to address basic needs in terms of health, safety, education and mobility.

 Since the early part of the pandemic, TMPF has been handing out donations, starting with medical frontliners and families who need support.

Personal protective equipment such as isolation gowns, surgical gowns, and surgical gloves were donated to Santa Rosa Community Hospital, while sacks of rice and grocery packages were distributed in hard-to-reach areas and certain communities.

It was also last year when the leading automotive manufacturer in the country deployed 30 Vios units to help mobilize hospital workers.
