The all-new Toyota Vios' grand launch is an anticipated event in itself; but if you add in Ely Buendia, Parokya Ni Edgar, Rivermaya, Cueshe, 6Cyclemind, Calla Lily, plus more musicians to make the occasion extra special, then all you need is some gravy and let it sizzle until it boils over.
Just make sure to wait until July 28 before you do this, though.
The Toyota Music Fest is highly important for two reasons: first, it will celebrate the company's assembly plant in Laguna; second, it will launch the all-new 2019 Toyota Vios to the public.
Known as the Yaris Ativ in Thailand, its 1.5-liter VVT-i engine produces 106 hp and 140 Nm of torque and is coupled to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), both of which are carried over from the outgoing Vios. Also, a five-speed manual transmission will probably be available in the market.
The Toyota Vios was first introduced in Thailand during the third quarter of 2017. Featuring a more confident style, the front's striking grille and headlights add a more dynamic edge to the design.
Interior details are still unavailable as of this time, but experts predict that the insides share many similarities with Yaris. The higher variants will also give better options, such as touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry, 4.2-inch multi-info display, and automatic climate control.
Free tickets are available for the Music Fest, with one registration equal to one ticket only. Just wait for the registration link that they'll post on their Facebook page starting July 10.
You can also go straight to their registration site. The music fest will be held on July 28, 2018 at the Filinvest City Event Grounds in Muntinlupa City. Gates will open at 2 p.m., so better be there early to get the best seats.
