Toyota PH provides more than transport needs to frontliners

The official local arm of Japanese automaker Toyota has extended more than transportation during this time of pandemic. 

Toyota Motor Philippines—through TMP Foundation—handed over some 900 meal packs—to frontliners, particularly from the Department of Transportation (DOTr). 

These food packs were given among drivers, security and support personnel, to further show its support to the government’s Free Ride Service program in Metro Manila. 

The government initiative, which provides transport services for the country’s medical frontliners, started March, to alleviate the transport needs of medical workers. 

The distribution of meals were done on two tranches, in 450 meals packs a day. 

The areas that received these food packs are in Alabang Staging Area, LTO Central, Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange and Valenzuela Gateway Complex.

Prior to the support to the government, TMP, in partnership with Toyota Mobility Foundation, made available ten shuttles to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH), which uses the ‘Just-in-Time’ booking app to set the pick-up time and at locations close to home for workers for enhanced security in response to the transportation department's request to make mobility more accessible especially to health workers. 

This is on top of the 49 TMP vehicle lend-outs in select hospitals, LGUs and other volunteer groups in Metro Manila and Laguna.

As the nation continues to face the challenges of the pandemic, Toyota will remain to be one with the government’s efforts and be of service to more Filipinos.
