About Nissan Philippines

Another one from the batch of highly successful auto brands in the country, Nissan Philippines, Inc. is a joint venture between Nissan Motor Company, Universal Motors Corporation, and Yulon Philippines Investment Co. Ltd. with the three companies holding 51%, 24.5%, and 24.5% stake in the venture, respectively. Nissan made its first appearance in the Philippine auto scene in the year 1969, and the joint venture, that is, Nissan Philippines, Inc., came into existence in 2013.

Nissan's portfolio for the Philippine automobile market comprises of as many as ten different models. The brochure includes Juke and X–Trail (crossovers), Almera and Sylphy (sedans), Terra and Patrol Royale (SUVs), NP300 Navara (pickup truck), GT-R and 370Z (coupes), and NV350 Urvan (minivan).

The automobile company is headed by Atsushi Najima, who plays the role of the president as well as the managing director of the business. The headquarters of Nissan Philippines, Inc. at located at 21st Floor Eco Tower, 32nd Street corner 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Philippines.

Being one of the better-selling auto brands in the country, Nissan Philippines, Inc. traded 42,694 units in 2019 and grabbed the 3rd position on the list prepared by CAMPI, TMA, and AVID. Compared to the year 2018, Nissan sold 22.15% more vehicles in 2019 as the company's business figures for 2018 read 34,952 sales only.
