2024 Toyota GR GT Cup PH set this weekend

An exciting weekend awaits participants of this year’s Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup Philippines.

The highly-anticipated e-motorsport event tournament shall be at the Main Atrium of the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City — with the quarterfinals to be held today (August 17) while the semifinals and national finals on August 18.

A total of 40 e-racers from the qualifying round last July 26-August 3 shall outpace each other to determine the 20 players who will advance to the semis.

From the top 20, participants will battle it out to determine among them who is the 10 fastest drivers — who will then compete in National Finals.

In the final stage, the top three e-drivers from the remaining 10 will move to represent the country at the event’s Asia Finals.

Aside from the competition, Toyota Motor Philippines shall display the GR performance cars (GR Yaris, GR Supra, and GR 86 from August 16-21, while the Fortuner GR-S, Corolla Cross GR-S HEV, and Hilux GR Sport on August 19-21).

Sim racing rigs can also be enjoyed at the event where the public can test their skills.

The Finals will be streamed live on the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines Facebook page. Races will start at 10:30 a.m. on August 17 and 11 a.m. on August 18.
