Arguably one of today’s best-selling subcompact sedans, both on the brand-new and on the second-hand car market, Mitsubishi’s Mirage G4 won the hearts of many Filipino families because of its ability to combine practicality and affordability.
Under the hood, the locally made Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is fitted with a 1.2-liter, in-line, DOHC, MIVEC engine with an electronically controlled multi-point injection fuel system mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or Mitsubishi’s smart INVECS-III CVT tranny.
The gasoline mill generates 79hp and 100Nm of torque. Mitsubishi claims that the Mirage G4 clocks in at 23.1kpl.
Safety-wise, you get the best the segment has to offer: driver and passenger airbags, three-point seatbelts, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), brake override system (BOS), and Isofix tethers.
The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 earned the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix award for adult occupancy protection in the mini-car category.
It also offers a small yet spacious cabin that features easy-to-read instrument panels, comfortable seats, and decent boot space. Depending on the trim level, you can get a 2-DIN tuner or a 6.75-inch touchscreen audio system.
Outside, Mitsubishi’s compact car features a diamond-cut front grille, foglamps, power side-view mirrors with integrated turn signals, and 15-inch alloy wheels. These exterior features are complemented by a selection of paint options that give the Japanese carmaker’s compact car a large character.
