Ford PH Brings Refreshed Ranger Lineup

The local arm for the Blue Oval has brought to Philippine shores the updated version of the Ranger lineup. The updated line-up from Ford Philippines was spearheaded by the comebacking Ranger FX4, boosting pick-up truck's available variants to 13.

Ford Philippines managing director PK Umashankar, led the unveiling of the Ford Ranger FX4, expressing confidence  to the boosted lineup. “The new Ranger FX4 is a strong addition to our Ranger lineup as we continue to offer a variety of our ‘Built Ford Tough’ pickup trucks to customers with different needs, budget, and lifestyle, clearly signifying that there is indeed a Ford Ranger for everyone,” Umashankar said.

Last introduced back in 2016, the updated Ford Ranger FX4 boasts of a bold design inside out and features that will help widen the appeal of the Ranger among customers seeking for a versatile and capable pickup truck. On the outside, the notable upgrades include are its 18-inch black alloy wheels, new mesh grille, extended steel sports bar, and ebony black accents on side mirror caps, door handles. Aside from that, the 2020 Ford Ranger FX4 sports lower door decals and a 3D badge on its tailgate. For the interiors, the Ranger FX4 retains its refined look with FX4-embossed leather seats, FX4-branded floor mats, and sporty dark environment highlighted by race red stitching accents on the soft top instrument panel, center console, gear shifter, and door trims. Features The Ranger FX4 now equipped with new 8-inch full color touchscreen that are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible.

It's driver-assistance technologies (DAT) include Cruise Control, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Rear Parking Sensors, Rain Sensing Wipers, Power Folding Mirrors, and Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS). The Ranger FX4 is powered by a 2.2L Duratorq diesel engine mated with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. This powertrain can deliver around 158 horsepower and 385Nm torque.

Pricing Starting today, the new Ranger FX4 is retailed at Php 1.256 Million for the 4x2 manual variant and Php1.316 Million for the 4x2 automatic variant. It comes in five colors: Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, Arctic White, Meteor Grey, and True Red.  “The Ranger FX4 takes toughness to a whole new level with a new look, sleek design, and relevant features customized to fit the needs of a new breed of pickup truck customers with both work and play needs,” added Ryan Lorenzo, marketing director, Ford Philippines. Other Ranger Variants Aside from the new Ranger FX4, Ford Philippines is also introducing a series of enhancements and upgrades to its entire Ranger lineup. Ranger XLS variants now come with a new 8-inch LCD touchscreen radio with Apple Carplay and Android Auto Capability. A new Ranger XLS Sport 4x2 A/T variant is added to the Ranger XLS products available to customers. Ranger XLT variants also come with a new 8-inch LCD touchscreen radio with Apple Carplay and Android Auto Capability. Meanwhile, Ranger Wildtrak 4x2 variants now have a new wheel design and LED headlamps. The Wildtrak 4x4 also has a new wheel design, LED headlamps, camera-based Autonomous Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection and high-mount USB feature to support various dashcam models. Lastly, the Ranger Raptor now comes with a camera-based Autonomous Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection, high-mount USB, and LED headlamps.
