Lexus PH conducts service campaign for LM, LS units following faulty digital instrument panels

MANILA: Lexus’ local arm said that it is conducting a service campaign involving 1,172 units for defective digital instrument panels — similar to Toyota Motor Philippines’ (TMP) initiative.

According to Lexus Philippines, select LM, LS500, and LS500h units are being recalled, saying that the faulty 12.3-inch screen needs to be reprogrammed or replaced.

The rundown of the affected Lexus vehicles in the country can be seen below:

To recall, TMP announced that the instrument panels of certain Alphard, Camry, Corolla Altis, and Corolla Cross repeatedly save unnecessary data that eats up memory leading to inoperative screens.

The Japanese premium automotive marque’s arm in the country said that owners of the vehicles covered in the campaign will get an Official Notification Letter from TMP and shall be invited by authorized Lexus Dealers to reprogram or replace the Combination Meter System free of charge.

Similar to TMP, Lexus Philippines shared that the reprogramming software and replacement parts for the said service campaign are expected to be ready by October 2025 or later.

Once repair parts are available, involved customers in the service campaign are encouraged to set an appointment with an authorized Lexus dealer to perform the necessary repair have it repaired during periodic maintenance appointments if the vehicle is already due or approaching its regular maintenance schedule.
