MANILA: Hongqi Philippines’ fielded units — namely the EHS7, EH7, EHS9 — got high fuel efficiency ratings at the 2025 Department of Energy-Petron Eco Run.
Based on the results shared by the energy department, the numbers that the three models — all in their all-wheel-drive trims — posted results with a baseline of 40.57 kilometers per liter of gasoline equivalent (km/lge).
The result was achieved after covering the 154.5-kilometer route along the stretch of Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway on September 24, 2025.

The vehicles that participated in the economy run, EvoXTerra said in a statement, were driven to reflect typical highway behavior — accelerating to overtake slower traffic at 100 kilometers per hour (kph) before returning to cruising speed of 80 kph.

On paper, the Hongqi EHS7 Flagship AWD and EH7 Flagship AWD can deliver out 610 horsepower (hp) and 756 Newton-meters (Nm)of torque, while the EHS9 Flagship AWD, 544 hp and 750 Nm. “These figures highlight Hongqi’s ability to balance powerful dual-motor all-wheel-drive performance with efficient energy consumption,” the company noted.

Both variants can dish out maximum churns of 339 hp and 450 Nm — underscoring on efficiency across its EV lineup, regardless of drivetrain configuration.
