MANILA: The 10th edition of the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) is shaping up to be one of the biggest, with some 17 car brands participating, giving event-goers a glimpse of where the local automotive industry is headed next.

    “The 10th Philippine International Motor Show underscores our aim in fostering a vibrant and competitive auto industry. One that is always moving ahead as a primary mobility provider to the Filipino motorists, and constantly evolving with appropriate technologies and solutions to address the changing customer needs,” Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Incorporated President Jing Atienza was quoted as saying.

    Diverse brand lineup

    Participants in the upcoming PIMS are made up of the now so-called “legacy” brands alongside emerging names, providing enthusiasts with a broad range of automobiles that cover a variety of powertrain technologies and automotive advancements.

    Among the abovementioned list of car brands are new members who will be making their debut at the auto expo. 

    BAIC, Omoda & Jaecoo, Subaru, Tesla, and Vinfast are eager to introduce Filipino consumers to a wider range of technologies and design approaches entering the local market. 

    Major launches, vehicle previews

    Visitors can expect to see first-hand major showcases from long-time PIMS members, as well as presentations from newer players unveiling their latest technologies and flagship models for the Philippine market.

    According to the event organizers, more than half of the vehicles that will be on display or will be available for test rides will be electric models. This means those who are looking to switch to electrified mobility can see the latest in hybrid and battery-operated models. 

    The number of new-energy models in the show highlights the public’s growing demand for sustainable and efficient mobility.

    Future-oriented solutions

    On top of showcasing electrified nameplates, the show will also feature vehicle technologies and programs that support fuel efficiency, electrification, and responsible energy use, reflecting the industry’s response to evolving mobility and energy challenges.

    The displays on the 10th iteration of PIMS will both be immersive and interactive. 

    Participating brands will have dynamic booth concepts, interactive activities, and exclusive product showcases that bring the future of the auto industry to life.

    Not everyone heading to PIMS is buying a new car. On that note, those out to hunt the best aftermarket and lifestyle deals can enjoy on the expanded area that will feature automotive accessories, car care products, performance upgrades, technology add-ons, and lifestyle brands.

    The area is expected to bring together automotive enthusiasts, hobbyists, and consumers looking to personalize and enhance their driving experience.

    While many would agree that events like PIMS are venues for business and selling cars, it is also a good place to gather friends and like-minded people who value automotive passion and the community in general. 

    The 10th PIMS will also bring together automotive groups and car clubs from participating brands, highlighting the passion and culture that continue to drive the local car scene forward.

    The 10th PIMS is backed by BPI and Motul, which serves as the event’s official partners. 

    Per the organizer, visitors can secure their tickets ahead of the event via pims.helixpay.ph

    Online tickets cost P150, with senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWD) getting discounts at P120. A bundle offer is available for P750 (five plus one ticket). 

    For those who would prefer to purchase at the venue during the show, onsite tickets are priced at P200 for regular admission and P150 for seniors, PWDs, and children.
