The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) announced that it will further extend its auto loan offerings at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show.

  • BPI, being the biennial motor show’s sole financing partner, shared that its 171 Anniversary promo as well as its exclusive partner deals are to be offered to qualified PIMS attendees during the four-day event that is scheduled on September 15-18 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

    “Given that events are slowly going back to normal, BPI would like to support the recovery of the motoring industry.  By taking part at CAMPI’s PIMS, this will show that together we will all recover as one,” BPI Retail Lending Head Dennis Fronda said.

    PIMS will be returning after a four-year hiatus following the negative impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The event — organized by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) — will concentrate on introducing innovations that will provide safer, more efficient, and sustainable mobility to the people with the theme “Mobility + Humanity: Innovating for the Common Good”.

    PIMS will highlight 13 of the top automotive brands in the country such as long-term partners BMWHondaIsuzuKiaMazdaMitsubishiNissanSuzuki, and Toyota as well as new members  CheryFotonGeely, and Hyundai. Through PIMS, the brands’ local distributors will showcase their latest and most recent innovations that will drive the future of mobility in the country.

    “Despite the challenges, we are positive that the industry is on its way to revival and recovery as evidenced by the double-digit growth in the past month with an 18.4-percent increase in vehicle sales year-to-date. Currently, we are almost at 57 percent of our annual industry target,” CAMPI President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez was quoted as saying.

    Aside from car launches and displays, the 8th PIMS — just like its earlier editions — is set to offer test drives on some of the latest vehicles in the market from participating brands.

    “This event will serve as another avenue not only to car enthusiasts but also for Filipinos looking to explore and who are already in the stage of planning to buy their own car or looking to have an upgrade,” Fronda noted.
