Falken PH unveils 'Road Hazard Ready' program
MANILA: JM Far East Incorporated (JMFEI) has created an extensive warranty program for buyers of Falken tire products in the Philippines.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
What does the “Road Hazard Ready” program by Falken Tire Philippines cover?
The program covers unrepairable tire damage caused by road hazards such as deep punctures, sidewall cuts, pothole impacts, and run-flat damage (subject to inspection), with eligible tires replaced if they meet the criteria. How long is the coverage under the Road Hazard Ready program?
The coverage lasts for 12 months from the date of purchase or until the tire reaches a tread depth of five millimeters—whichever comes first. In a statement, the company shared that it now has “Road Hazard Ready” (RHR) program, which will cover passenger, SUV/4x4, and van/light truck tires bought beginning today.
Similar to the Continental Tires Philippines’ “Total Confidence Plan”, Falken Tire Philippines offers coverage beyond the standard factory warranty.

- Deep punctures that cannot be repaired or vulcanized
- Cuts on the tread or sidewall that expose internal cords
- Impact damage from potholes and uneven pavement
- Sidewall damage from road contact
- Runflat damage, subject to inspection
“It’s a simple idea: tires don’t fail in a vacuum. They fail because of what they run over,” Falken Tire Philippines noted in a statement.

The warranty shall replace the tire if the damage meets any of the aforementioned requirements. Its coverage will run for 12 months from purchase, or until the tire reaches a five-millimeter tread depth — whichever comes first.
JMFEI clarified that Falken tires bought brand new or unused at authorized dealers or official online stores are covered in the program.

Falken tires that are eligible for the program are the following:
- Sincera
- Ziex
- Azenis FK510 series
- Azenis FK520L
- Wildpeak
- Linam
JMFEI mentioned that the track-focused models namely the Azenis RT660 and RT615K+ are not part of the program.
To activate coverage, customers need to register within seven days from purchase date through the official RHR portal. On the said website, the following items must be submitted:
- Official receipt or sales invoice
- Dealer details
- Tire specifications and DOT markings
- Clear photos of the vehicle and tires
Should they fail to register within the said timetable, customers can still have the standard five-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This will be based on the tire’s manufacturing date.
For tires with a manufacturing date of up to six years:
- Year 1: Road Hazard Ready + standard warranty against manufacturing defects
- Years 2–5: standard warranty against manufacturing defects
For tires with a manufacturing date of seven to nine years:
- Year 1 only: Road Hazard Ready + standard warranty against manufacturing defects
While the warranty has been broadened, the RHR still has limits in terms of coverage. These are:
- Repairable punctures or cosmetic damage
- Abuse—racing, drifting, off-road use
- Poor maintenance or incorrect installation
- Wear and tear
- Flood, fire, or collision damage
- Tires used in taxis and car rental services
- Original equipment and spare tires
Claims can be filed online, supported by photos and video evidence, followed by a live technical inspection via video call.
“There’s nothing complicated about what Falken is trying to do here. Roads aren’t perfect, and tires take the hit. Road Hazard Ready simply acknowledges that—and builds a warranty around it to help protect your investment,” the company concluded.
