Toyota joins JAMBE as executive member

Toyota joins as an executive member of the Japan Automotive Model-Based Engineering center (JAMBE).

Here, Toyota joins Japan’s other automotive giants like Subaru, Nissan, Honda, and Mazda. The country’s premier parts manufacturers such as Aisin, Jatco, Denso, Panasonic, and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation are also part of the center’s executive members.

JAMBE succeeds an initiative led by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry called “Enrichment of Suriawase 2.0.” The center’s mission is to promote model-based development (MBD) across Japan's automotive industry.

According to Toyota, JAMBE’s purpose is to create the most-advanced development community in the mobility sector, able to carry out optimal and high-grade monozukuri (“production” or “making of things”) efficiently and without rework.

Toyota and other JAMBE execs will lead the center's activities to contribute to making Japan's automotive industry more competitive internationally.
