MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has confirmed the arrival of the Ativ in the country — which will be the latest addition to the brand’s new energy vehicle lineup.
Such is the result of the teaser that the company posted over its social media page yesterday (September 1), which highlighted an L-shaped daytime running lamp and headlamp cluster of the vehicle.
The aforementioned portion resembles the Yaris Ativ that Toyota Motor Thailand revealed last month.
To recall, Carmudi Philippines reported about TMP’s plan to introduce the aforementioned nameplate as shared by the firm’s First Vice President of Sales Operations Elijah Sue Marcia via an interview.

According to her, the firm is already in the planning stage in terms of bringing the Ativ nameplate in the country. “We see that there is demand for more HEV vehicles. Thus, we are planning to introduce the Ativ soon. We'll share details once available,” Marcial shared in the said interview.
TMP has yet to share details about the model’s launch anticipated entry in the local market and the company only said that the vehicle will be “coming very soon.”
