I was literally grinning from ear to ear the first time I sat behind the wheel in the Civic Type-R from Honda. The 2.0L turbocharged VTEC engine is nothing less than a power beast, delivering about 306 hp. To top it off, I have got the 6-speed manual gearbox under the hood, which makes every gear change a thrilling experience. Winding the beast along the Baguio’s roads felt sharper and more controlled, thanks to the adaptive dampers. Truth be told, it’s a car that begs to be driven at every instance. My only complaint? The low ground clearancYange makes every speed bump feel like a mini mountain.
