MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) will introduce the bZ4X battery-electric vehicle (BEV) this December 2025.

    To note, the Toyota bZ4X is a part of the Japanese brand’s multi-pathway approach, which is a strategy set on providing clients a variety of mobility options, whilst seeking to promote sustainability.

    “Our multi-pathway approach is all about giving customers multiple options. I hope more Filipinos can join us in our movement toward carbon neutrality with the all-new bZ4X,” TMP President Masando Hashimoto said.

    Toyota bZ4X: specs

    At the moment, TMP’s website already has a dedicated page for the upcoming bZ4X, and some of its specs are already viewable. 

    With regard to its powertrain, the soon-to-be-launched bZ4X for the Philippine market will be propelled by two electric motors sending power to all four wheels. In total, it could produce up to 338 horsepower.

    The TMP website has not indicated its range, but an earlier Zigwheels Philippines report on the bZ4X’s LTO homologation papers said it can cover up to 458 kilometers on a single full charge. Additionally, it will have direct current (DC) fast-charging.

    The TMP website also shows that the Toyota bZ4X will come fitted with a panoramic moonroof, power-adjust side mirrors with camera, heating, and memory function, as well as a full complement of LED lighting fixtures. 

    The interior of the upcoming bZ4X, on the other hand, will sport a five-seater layout, which includes these features:

    • Power-adjust front seats
    • 60:40 split-folding rear seats
    • Digital rearview mirror
    • Front seat ventilation
    • Push-to-start button
    • Dual-zone automatic climate controls
    • Seven-inch digital gauge
    • Wireless smartphone charging pad 
    • 14-inch infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

    Concerning safety, the model has seven airbags, vehicle stability control, hill-start assist, downhill assist, panoramic view monitor, front and rear sonar, and safe exit assist. Likewise available for the upcoming BEV nameplate is the Toyota Safety Sense.
