Toyota to hold 2nd round of GR Supra GT Cup Asia PH this weekend

Toyota Motor Philippines turns up the the exhilarating waku-doki experience again this week as it continues the latest round of its premier e-motorsport tournament, the GR Supra GT Cup Asia Philippines.

Set for this weekend, Saturday, August 29 at 8:00 PM, the second round of the online racing series will be streamed live via TMP's official accounts on Facebook (www.facebook.com/toyotamotorphilippines) and Youtube  (www.youtube.com/toyotamotorphilippines).

The virtual race series will feature some of the country's top Gran Turismo Sport gamers battling against each other in the Autopolis International Racing Course to bag the most points for the second round.

DJ and gamer Gino Quillamor will be hosting the GR Supra GT Cup second round, together with Apple David, who has been hosting the Toyota's Vios Racing Festival.

Aside from the racers, viewers can also win prizes. Details on how to contribute to the donation drive to help frontliners on the road will also be announced.

During the first round of the GR Supra GT Cup Asia Philippines held last July, Luis Moreno, Mark Voltaire Elman, and Corban Guerrero secured the top three spots respectively in the sporting class. The top three finishers in the promotional class, on the other hand, was led by Gab Señires, followed by Lance Padilla, and Lance Guballa.

The third and final round is set next month. The final races will determine the overall champions—the players from each category who accumulated the most points—who will then represent the Philippines in the Asia regional round.

The GR Supra GT Cup Asia Philippines has been launched under Toyota's global Toyota Gazoo Racing program.
