New and Used Foton View for Sale Philippines
“Driven by vision.” These are the three words used by Foton Motors Philippines head honchos to describe the newbie company’s stratospheric rise in the local vehicle market. The Chinese car brand just started doing business in the country starting 2008, and in less than a decade it has managed to expand its market to 20 dealerships nationwide. Foton is a long established maker of commercial vehicles, and it has only recently ventured into the passenger vehicle category with its Foton trucks, vans and SUVs. It looks to make a huge splash in the van segment in a big way, with the introduction of their updated flagship van, the 2015 Foton View.
Costing more or less P1 million depending on trim, the Foton View is considerably more affordable than its more established counterparts, which generally cost more P2 million. Fleet owners, small to medium businesses and big families will find their money’s worth in the Foton View because of its extremely roomy interior, reliable cummins engine, affordability, and modern no-nonsense design. The Foton View is already on sale in many markets, although its availability in the Philippines is still very limited. Pending the latest year model’s wide local release, the 2015 View remains to be the main Foton van sold at the Chinese carmaker’s authorized dealerships all over the country.
The View comes in three different trims to cover every light commercial transportation need, from ferrying passengers to moving cargo. Whatever purpose or function you want your van to serve, there’s a particular View trim to fit your requirements.
The Foton View is built in Foton’s assembly plant in Wiefang City, Shandong Province in northeastern China. It was initially introduced in 2010, and was immediately dubbed a HiAce clone when it first came out. The vehicle was initially aimed at the fleet market, so it did not have any power features and other luxury amenities. Now on its second generation, the 2015 View is the next logical step in the View’s evolution, making it a worthy choice among small to medium enterprises and shuttle van operators as well as those looking for a plush yet affordable passenger van option. The latest View distinguishes itself from its predecessors via a new platform, new body and a world-class Cummins engine known to be one of the most durable and reliable diesel engine brands in the world. However, it still closely follows the Toyota HiAce design.
The Foton View can be viewed (no pun intended) as a David among Goliaths. Its greatest rivals have a lengthy history and excellent pedigree, facing nameplates such as the Toyota HiAce, Nissan Urvan and Mitsubishi L300. However, what it lacks for size, it lacks for depth. This car can outperform these giants when it comes to quality and refinement.
